If you have bananas that are on the turn and you use up immediately, peel them and put them in a freezer box or bag in chunks for future shakes and smoothies.
Frozen fruits from the freezer section are excellent for on-the-go breakfasts. Instead of buying the smoothie mixes (which seem to be more expensive) go for individual fruits if you can so you can mix up your flavours as you choose.
